SamEnrico Opens Its Full Catalogue to Libraries Worldwide — With MARC Records, SSO, and Institutional Licensing Built In
SEW Capital's publishing catalogue becomes available through ZLOADR, giving libraries access to ebooks, audiobooks, journals, and audio dramas — catalogued once via ONIX, licensed institutionally, and settled transparently
LONDON, United Kingdom —
November 1, 2026 — SamEnrico, the publishing catalogue owned by SEW Capital, today announced that its full catalogue is available to libraries and institutions worldwide through ZLOADR, SEW Capital's library and institutional distribution platform. The move gives libraries access to a growing catalogue of ebooks, audiobooks, journals, and serialized audio dramas — delivered with MARC records, single sign-on (SSO), and institutional licensing terms designed for how libraries actually acquire and lend content.
For library acquisitions teams, the announcement addresses a persistent operational problem: integrating new digital content into existing catalogues without manual work, negotiating licensing terms that fit institutional budgets, and ensuring patrons can access content through the systems they already use.
"Libraries don't need another content silo. They need content that slots into how they already catalogue, authenticate, and lend," said Sam Enrico Williams, Founder and CEO of SEW Capital. "SamEnrico titles arrive with MARC records ready to ingest, SSO that works with existing identity systems, and licensing that settles like any other institutional purchase. No manual work. No new systems to learn. No vendor lock-in."
What Libraries Receive
| Library Requirement | SamEnrico / ZLOADR Delivery |
|---|---|
| MARC records | Generated for every title, ready to ingest into existing catalogue systems without manual cataloguing |
| Single sign-on (SSO) | Works with existing institutional identity systems — no separate login for patrons |
| Institutional licensing | Annual access fees, per-title term licences, or usage-based tiers — recurring if renewed, not one-off purchases |
| Metered access | Per-checkout or per-simultaneous-use licensing available, distinct from Public Lending Right (PLR) |
| Multiple formats | Ebook, audiobook, journal, and audio drama access from a single catalogue record |
| Transparent settlement | Institutional checkout settles in ZDR like every other channel, with per-avenue line items traceable to external statements |
| No manual work | Catalogue ingests without staff intervention; MARC records and SSO are built in, not add-ons |
"Every title in the SamEnrico catalogue is catalogued once and distributed everywhere," the company explains. "For libraries, that means one record to ingest, one authentication method to configure, and one licensing relationship to manage — regardless of how many formats or titles you acquire."
The Catalogue: What's Available
SamEnrico publishes across nine formats through SEW Capital's PubEx 1.0 engine and its specialized models. For libraries, the relevant formats are: Ebook (Prose model — reflowable digital editions with internal navigation and metadata), Audiobook (Narrate model — narrated, mastered audio editions with chaptering), Journal/Magazine (Press model — issue-structured periodicals with ISSN conventions), Audio Drama (Drama model — serialized, multi-voice productions released episode by episode), and Print (Print model — paperback and hardback editions, print-on-demand).
The catalogue includes 20,000 titles registered with ISBNs in the first tranche, with 350,000+ pieces of content produced across all nine format models. 90% of catalogue revenue is generated from engine-assisted content, and up to 80% lower production cost vs. all-human workflows means the catalogue can expand faster than traditional publishing cycles allow.
"Past engine performance is not a forecast for any individual title," the company notes. "But it demonstrates the infrastructure works at a scale no single-title production workflow reaches."
How Institutional Licensing Works
SamEnrico titles are licensed to libraries and institutions through ZLOADR, with terms designed for institutional acquisition cycles: annual access licence (recurring annual fee for ongoing access), per-title term licence (fixed-term licence for a specific title), usage-based tier (licensing priced against actual usage — checkouts, simultaneous-use slots, or page-reads), and metered access (per-checkout or per-simultaneous-use licensing, distinct from PLR, where the library pays per lend through the platform).
"Institutional licensing is the highest-value per-unit channel," the company explains. "One institutional licence can pay more than hundreds of individual retail sales combined, and it renews. That's the model libraries are used to — we've just made it easier to administer."
Where national PLR schemes apply, SamEnrico titles accrue per-loan fees through the relevant scheme. In the UK, the 2024/25 rate is 12.40p per loan, with a maximum cap of £6,600 per author per year. PLR registration is automatic where the scheme applies.
Distribution Reach
SamEnrico titles are distributed through SEW Capital's owned platforms and partner network: ZLOADR (libraries and institutions, with SSO and MARC records), AskSurFa (print, direct and trade), VoxFlicks (consumer audio and ebook), the ONIX wholesale feed (40,000+ retail and library endpoints), and Lingua translation editions. Distribution reach: 40,000+ retail and library endpoints, 195 countries via wholesale, 2.5M+ libraries worldwide, and 4 formats distributed per title.
"Endpoint and country figures describe the distribution network available to the catalogue, not a guarantee of stocking," the company notes. "Whether a specific library takes a specific title remains that library's decision."
Why This Matters for Libraries
Library acquisitions teams face a consistent set of operational challenges: manual cataloguing burden, authentication complexity, vendor lock-in, budget predictability, format fragmentation, settlement opacity, and digital lending complexity. SamEnrico and ZLOADR address each directly — MARC records generated for every title, SSO that works with existing systems, non-exclusive licensing, annual/term/usage-based licensing, multiple formats from one catalogue record, per-avenue settlement traceable to external statements, and metered access distinct from PLR.
"Libraries are not looking for another platform to learn. They're looking for content that works with the systems they already have," the company explains. "That's what ZLOADR is designed to do: make SamEnrico titles orderable, cataloguable, and lendable without adding operational overhead."
